As a single parent my mother took us three girls to the library, pool, parades and taught us to love and be loved. I can remember walking, taking the bus, and riding in her car. There were no aunts, uncles or grandparents to help out where we lived. Her strength and courage will forever be something we all seek to model.
Hope Thomas
Sponsored by Kysha Muhammad
Hope Thomas was a loving Mother to two daughters, Kysha Muhammad and Kyla Williams. She loved them both dearly. She was a good mother, who never hesitated to hug and kiss her children. She was a hands on mother. She made sure that they were in her words “right”. She had rules in her home. Rules for how they were to behave at home and in public. And she always watched them closely. She never allowed them to go with the norm or do what others were doing for the sake of doing it. She had specific guidelines to ensure their safety- morally and physically- in an unsafe environment. Because of what she did for her daughters and many other children that she mothered, they are able to carry on her legacy into the future with what she taught them. She worked hard to provide what she could for her children. Her hard work and sacrifice will not go in vain.
Ps. I love you Ma, I miss you. And I thank you for all of the sacrifices you made. You were a good mother to me and I miss your hugs and food. ~Kysha
