Elizabeth Barron Walls
Sponsored by Maalikah Muhammad
“Elizabeth Barron Walls was the fourth of five daughters reared in rural Mississippi. With eleven children, she devoted her life to ensuring that they were reared in a God and “parent” fearing environment with respect for others, especially adults and the elderly. However humble her origin, she instilled in her children and grandchildren an innate thirst for excellence, achievement and community service. Their accomplishments include graduating from college as well as graduate and professional schools. Among the eleven are three attorneys, educators, business people and corporate managers as well as a multi-site restaurant owner and entrepreneur. This is proof there is no substitute for good home training. She was affectionately called “Mother” by most of her children’s friends and acquaintances. Gone from here but never forgotten, she will forever live in our hearts!”
